A lot of things have changed in the last few months. A new restaurant is build, all cabanas have been renewed and the beach bar is becoming more and more popular for drinks and cocktails at the beach.

We have initiated a project on Corn Island to raise the quality of education. The current situation for education is very bad on the island. Facilities and the level of education are poor as well a lack of educational materials. Attached is a detailed project plan for the ones amongst you who are very interested.

The first phase of the project consists of two parts. The first part is the renovation of 3 schools which need it the most and the building of pre-school facilities. Pre-school is taught at a woman’s house at the moment.

The project will start in April 2007 and we aim to finish it end 2007.

The second parts of the project consist of the renovation of the remaining schools and the improvement of the competence of the teachers. The “teach the teachers” part will be executed in close co-operation with USAID.

For the renovation of the remaining school we still need more funding. And we hope to find willing people or ideas through our website.
